Hello, I’m Sara Thomas

I have always been pulled to the work of a healer as I find value in providing ease in the lives of others.

My path toward a healing profession began at a very young age. My grandmother, who is a retired LPN, showed me how to feed squirrels and chipmunks out of our hands when I was young. This small act of caring for another creature filled me with a sense of purpose.

To provide care and comfort feels like a natural extension of who I am.

During my exploration of various medical modalities, I discovered that I wanted to help others before their issues necessitated extreme treatment measures.

This is one of the reasons I was so drawn to acupuncture and Chinese Medicine; it provides great support to one’s healing journey. It is an all-encompassing method that allows for each patient to be treated in an integrated way.

.

I am particularly interested in helping people maintain their mental health. A chaotic, scattered and stressed mind can create ailments in the physical body.

Having spent my summers on the Cape, I grew to appreciate how a peaceful environment could create a peaceful mind, body and spirit. And since few of us can escape the stressors of our day to day reality, I am lucky to be able to share the mystery of acupuncture to help others achieve that inner peace.

I am fascinated by the therapeutic power of plants. One day, I hope to have the knowledge to forage herbs and create my own plasters, lotions, and teas.

I am a graduate of the prestigious New England School of Acupuncture (NESA). NESA is the oldest acupuncture school in the US and it offers a superior herbal medicine program.
